Ingredients

  • 250g margarine

  • 1 teacup of vegetable oil

  • 2 packets of baking powder

  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt

  • 1 egg

  • Flour (as needed)

  • For the filling

  • Walnuts

  • Cinnamon

  • For the syrup

  • 4 cups of sugar

  • 5 cups of water

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine margarine, vegetable oil, egg, yogurt, vanilla sugar, and baking powder, and start kneading.
  • Gradually add flour until you get a soft dough (the texture should be like earlobe softness).
  • Take a piece of dough the size of a walnut and flatten it in your palm. Place some walnut and cinnamon mixture in the center and close it up.
  • Use a knife to make a small incision on top, leaving the walnuts visible.
  • Bake at 160°C (320°F) for 20-25 minutes.
  • Once the sweets are out of the oven and have cooled slightly, pour the cold syrup over them.
